Fishing Report – 7th Sept 2023
Beaches-
Beaches are starting to fire now with salmon, bream and trevally and the odd large whiting being taken. Best spots are Dee Why, Curl Curl, or North Narrabeen.
Our king beach worms are the ideal bait for the whiting and bream.
Narrabeen Lake-
Some nice size bream are being caught near the Ocean St bridge area with reports of flathead being taken at Jamison Park, the Narrabeen bridge area and Pipe Clay Point. Best baits are soft-plastics, Hawkesbury prawns, and salted WA pilchards.
Offshore-
Good size snapper have been caught close in at Long Reef, Dee Why wreck and Boltons. Best baits fresh squid, mullet strips or slimy mackerel.
Flathead have been taken on the drift at Mona Vale, Freshwater and Palm Beach in the 40 to 50m depths.
Pittwater and Sydney Harbour-
Kingfish have returned to the Harbour with fresh squid being the best bait.
Luderick are also in good numbers from harbour rock platforms and ferry wharfs.
Trevally are still in good numbers in Pittwater with plenty of berley required to bring them on.
